  Barbara Goleman Senior High School administration, faculty and staff celebrated the retirement of office personnel Nancy Anderson, math teacher Alberto W. Tio, foreign language teacher, Carmen Martinet, and English teacher Ganjadeai Baksh. Bob Graham Education Center fifth-grader Flavia Nuñez earned first place in the writing component for this year’s Fairchild Challenge. Nuñez wrote a story on a seed. The Fairchild Challenge is a competition that Fairchild Botanical Gardens sponsors every year with participation from more than 200 schools. It is a multidisciplinary competition with an emphasis on environmental sciences.
