Miami Lakes officially transitioned the school crossing guard program from Miami-Dade County to the town on March 31, marking the first day school crossing guards began serving the streets at Bob Graham Education Center and Miami Lakes K-8 Center.  The Town hired and certified seven school crossing guards, the majority of which are Miami Lakes residents.
