Arianna Cruz of Hialeah (shown above) was named to the dean’s list at Emerson College in Boston for the fall 2019 semester. Cruz, class of 2021, is a graduate of Hialeah Gardens High School. Looking for a way to occupy your child during spring break? The YMCA Spring Break Camp is an option from March 23 – March 27. It is open from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Royal Oaks Park, at 16500 NW 87th Ave. in Miami Lakes. Residents may register before March 6 to get the $80 price for the session. Community bike ride set for March 14

The Town of Miami Lakes and its Neighborhood Improvement Committee will hold a bicycle ride with a country and western theme on March 14. Cowboys and gals will ride off from Picnic Park West at 10 a.m. and are encouraged to wear western gear. The Federal Reserve Bank in Atlanta has appointed Rajinder P. Singh to its Board of Governors’ Federal Advisory Council.
