Applications for Lien Amnesty Program due by March 27

Home Thursday, March 19, 2015

Only applications (not payments) are due by March 27 for the Town’s Code Enforcement Lien Amnesty Program, an incentive to property owners with outstanding liens to bring their property into compliance at a discounted rate.

Both residential and commercial property owners are eligible to apply for as much as an 85 percent reduction in the amount owed on their lien. To further lessen the burden, the Town is also offering payment plans as part of the program.

Forty applications have been approved and liens released, but there are still more than 250 property owners who are eligible for amnesty.

Property owners who are not sure if they have a lien may log onto the Town’s website at www.miamilakes-fl.gov and click on “Search for Violations.” The case would be indicated as “LIEN” status in the system.
