BankUnited names new director of Capital Markets

     BankUnited of Miami Lakes named Patrick Murphy as senior vice president, director of capital markets.

     Murphy, 34, will lead the development of BKU Capital Markets, including sales and trading of interest rate derivatives and foreign exchange hedging capabilities, the bank said in September.

     The products will help clients manage financial exposures in the interest rate and foreign currency markets.

     Murphy previously was head of interest rate derivatives for WSFS Bank Capital Markets in Wilmington, Del. He also worked at KeyBank and JPMorgan, 

BankUnited said.

     Murphy earned a bachelor’s degree in finance with a minor in economics from Susquehanna University.
