BGEC hosts VEX IQ competition

     Bob Graham Education Center hosted its annual VEX IQ competition at the school on Dec. 10. The competition brought together 26 teams from elementary and middle schools in Miami-Dade County to compete at the event. 

     Bob Graham’s own Dream Team won the design award and a spot at the VEX IQ South Florida Regional Middle School Championship to be held March 5 at Ronald W. Reagan Senior High School in Doral.

     Other winners from BGEC included the Robotic Ravens, who earned an innovate and inspire award and placed fourth in the finals.

      Fruit Loops placed fifth in the finals. 

     “Congratulations to the members of the Robocats STEM Academy,” Principal Yecenia Martinez wrote in an email. “All the members performed extremely well.”
