Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory announced the appointment of Dr. Judith Mucheck as the school’s next president beginning July 1. Her three-year appointment comes after a national search by the C-M Board of Trustees.

Mucheck will be the first lay president of C-M since its founding in 1960. All previous presidents were professed Brothers or Priests of the Society of Mary.

Upon her appointment, Mucheck said, “I am grateful to the Marianists for the opportunity to join the C-M family and I’m looking forward to reaching C-M’s great potential which can be realized with the effort of all stakeholders.”

Mucheck brings a wealth of experience in Catholic School Education, having served as a high school teacher, university professor, education consultant, Principal, and President at several Catholic schools, as well as serving as Superintendent of Schools for the Archdiocese of Atlanta, Georgia.
