Miami Lakes Cultural Affairs Committee is hosting the 11th annual Fourth of July Concert and Fireworks Show on Friday, July 4, at Miami Lakes Picnic Park West, 15151 N.W. 82 Avenue.

The festivities begin at 5 p.m. and attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs.

Free public parking will be in the parking lots by Graham Dairy Lake at the end of Montrose Road (N.W. 82 Avenue) and Oak Lane.

To help minimize traffic, the Town of Miami Lakes is providing free shuttle service to the park beginning at 4:30 p.m. The route will run every 20 minutes until 9 p.m., and will resume at the conclusion of the fireworks show.

The shuttle will run between the Promenade Building, 15100 N.W. 67 Avenue, and Picnic Park West. Those interested in using the free service may park in the lot between Bull Run and New Barn Roads.

The Fourth of July Concert and Fireworks Show is co-sponsored by the Town of Miami Lakes, the Cultural Affairs Committee, and The Graham Companies.

The general public is reminded to strictly adhere to County Code Section 26-1, Rule 19(a), that states no personal fireworks or sparklers are permitted at the event. Pets are not permitted (except for service dogs).
