M-DCPS inducts Garcia to Hall of Fame

      Miami-Dade County Public Schools inducted eight alumni to its Hall of Fame Class of 2025, including County Commissioner Sen. René Garcia, who represents Miami Lakes

     “Being inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame is not just a personal achievement but a testament to the incredible support and education I received in Miami-Dade’s school system,” Garcia said in a press release.

     He graduated from Hialeah Senior High School, Class of 1993.

     The school system also inducted NBC6 South Florida TV anchor Kris Anderson; chef and author Adrianne Calvo; Marshall L. Davis, Sr., managing director of the Marshall L. Davis, Sr. African Heritage Cultural Arts Center; 11th Judicial Circuit Judge Michelle Delancy; Bobby Flam, owner of Jumbo’s Restaurant; former Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre resident choreographer Jamar Roberts and Donald Slesnick, II, former mayor of Coral Gables, to the class.
