It’s time once again for the Great Strides Miami Lakes Walk to be held on Saturday, April 26, to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The event will take place at Graham Park at the corner of Miami Lakeway North and Meadow Walk Lane.
Walk registration starts at 8 a.m. and the walk starts at 9 a.m.
This is the ninth year the walk has been held in Miami Lakes and its the 12th year that the “Team Running with Danny” has been involved in the Great Strides Walks in which they have raised over $430,000 for help fund life saving medical research efforts.
It has been over 12 years since Danny Quesada was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, a genetic disease affecting the lungs and digestive system. Since his diagnosis in 2001, there have been big improvements in the treatments and medicines available for him and other CF patients which translates to better health and an overall better quality of life thanks to fundraising events like the Great Strides Walk.
