All Florida Paper, a leading private distributor in the United State whose marketing department is headed by Miami Lakes resident, Alexander Hannett, was recognized for its achievements in marketing.

Though Hannett is a new Miami Lakes resident, having moved here only a handful of months ago, he greatly enjoys his new residence.

"The reason I moved here was due to the community feel, it reminds me of back home in Virginia. The safety, the population of young people, and the overall demographics of Miami Lakes were appealing," said Hannett.

Though Hannett began as a part-time, temporary employee for All Florida Paper back in November 2012, he quickly worked his way up the corporate ladder and became Manager of Corporate Strategy in 10 short months.

Hannett was named a National Finalist for Marketing Professional of the Year in the 2014 American Business Awards, also known as The Stevie Awards. Named the Academy Awards of the business world by The New York Post, The American Business Awards are the nation's premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the USA are eligible for nomination.

Over 3,300 notations from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies in nearly every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range categories. The banquet to announce the winners for various marketing categories was held Friday, June 13.

"We are honored to be recognized as a national finalist in such a highly-competitive category," said President and CEO of All Florida Paper, Armando Caceres. "The key to everything we have accomplished as a team in our marketing department has been Alexander Hannett, our manager of Corporate Strategy and Marketing. Mr. Hannettt has been the vision behind many of the initiatives since 2012 and has worked with our COO, Marisel Caceres, in pushing those initiatives forward."

In collaboration with the CEO and COO, Hannett developed the company's industry-leading website, re-branded, managed all the intellectual property of the company and worked in recruiting and employee retention initiatives.

Additionally, Hannett was named 2014 Rookie of the Year by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, was nominated for the 69th edition of Who's Who in America, and has had his finalist status in the 2014 American Business Awards featured in The Boston Globe, International Business Times and The Miami Herald.
