M. Lakes resident Alvin L. West appointed to Travel & Tourism Adv. Council

Alvin L. West, longtime Miami Lakes resident and Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) chief financial officer and senior vice president has been appointed by The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta to the Travel and Tourism Advisory Council.

The purpose of the Travel and Tourism Advisory Council of The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta is to provide real-time, grassroots economic information to its Research Department. The council consists of approximately 12 members who are senior executives of tourism and tourism-related businesses and organizations in the Southeast. The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta is the central bank for the region, including Miami.
