On July 22, The Main Street Players will bring to the stage their third production of 2016 – Songs For A New World by Jason Robert Brown.
The cast of two men and two women tell the story of a “new world” through an eclectic musical score blending pop, gospel, and jazz. The cast members are Gabi Gonzalez, Icela Marliese, Leroy Fellis, Jr., and Chris D’Angelo. The show is directed by Alex Gonzalez and produced by John Olivera, with musical direction by Michael Day.
Songs For A New World will run from July 22 to August 7. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, and Sundays at 2 p.m. There will also be a performance Thursday, August 4 at 8 p.m. Ticket prices are $25 for adults, and $20 for seniors, students, and military personnel. Tickets may be purchased at the door or online at www.mainstreetplayers.com. Main Street Playhouse is located at 6766 Main Street in Miami Lakes.
