Mater Academy’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) students won first place in two categories last week at the 2016 National Leadership Conference (NLC) in Atlanta, Georgia.
Jocelyn Bello Paez and Yanisbel Ruiz took home first place in Business Ethics, and Hector Bibilonia and Cesar Sierra won first place in Business Financial Plan.
Another FBLA student took home fourth place in American Enterprise category, and Elanny Lago came in eighth place for Impromptu Speaking.
The NLC attracted thousands of future business leaders to Atlanta to compete in leadership events, share successes and learn new ideas about shaping their career through workshops and exhibits.
The four-day conference is considered the pinnacle of the FBLA-PBL experience, especially for future leaders who may run for national office.
