Leslie W. Langbein, Esq., a noted Labor and Employment Law attorney whose office is in Miami Lakes, will be the guest speaker at the Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce’s general membership luncheon scheduled for Wednesday, November 9, in the Grand Ballroom of Shula’s Hotel on Main Street.
Her presentation will focus on “Hot Topics in Labor Law.”
Networking begins at 11:30 a.m. with lunch to follow at noon. Admission is $30 for members and their guests who RSVP, $35 for those who do not RSVP, and $40 for non-members. Langbein is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Labor and Employment Law and also practices in the areas of Administrative Law, Fair Housing Law, Commercial Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
She provides advice to, and represents, a variety of private sector employers and individuals in employment, housing and business matters.
Langbein began her legal career as an assistant City Attorney and then deputy City Attorney for the City of Hollywood. In 1986, she joined the former law firm of Valdes-Fauli, Cobb & Petrey and was assigned to act as General Counsel of Florida International University, a position she held for nearly 10 years.
She then joined her husband to form Langbein & Langbein, P.A. and in 2004, the law firm moved its offices to Miami Lakes.
She is a former past president of the Miami Lakes Bar Association, has served on the Board of Directors of Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc., as president of HOPE, Inc., a non-profit fair housing agency, and participating in a variety of community projects as a member of the Miami Lakes Zonta Club. She and her family have resided in Miami Lakes since 1978.
