In honor of May as Mental Health Month, the Miami Lakes Chamber of Commerce will host Dr. Susanna Blanco, a licensed psychologist, as the guest speaker for the organization’s monthly membership luncheon on May 13 at Don Shula’s Hotel.
Blanco’s presentation is titled “Being Youth Best Self, In Business and In Life.”
Blanco earned her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Miami, and her doctoral degree from the University at Albany, State University of New York.
She completed her clinical internship at Edith Nourse Veteran’s Hospital in Bedford, Massachusetts. Prior to returning to full-time clinical work, Blanco was the assistant director of Training for Carlos Albizu University’s Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program.
Blanco focuses on developing and maintaining meaningful, personal and professional relationships through honest, vulnerable and wholehearted presence and communication. She believes this to be the key to success in all areas of life and is passionate about sharing this perspective with others who want to live more authentically.
Blanco and her partner, Dr. Alvarez-Jimenez, are co-owners of Thrive Psychological Associates in Miami Lakes.
