In celebration of its 42nd anniversary, the Miami Lakes Sports Shop, 6763 Main Street, is having a store wide sale on sports wear items and sporting equipment throughout the month of December.
Miami Lakes Sports Shop is the oldest retail operation in Miami Lakes.
Sports Shop owner Jim Hamilton said patrons can take advantage of feature name brand items at a 42 percent discount, representing the number of years the store has been in business.
Patrons can buy some items at a 10 to 20 percent discount.
The store wide discount coincides with American Express’s marketing campaign to encourage people to come out and shop the day after Thanksgiving.
Hamilton said his discount program is called “Shop Small, Save Big.”
The Miami Lakes Sports Shop opened in 1973 in the Cypress Village shopping center and moved to Main Street 30 years ago.
