Monessori Children's House adds elementary level STEM curriculum

Montessori Children’s House (MCH) of Miami Lakes will celebrate its 47th anniversary in June as a dedicated school of choice educating children as young as two years old through the fifth grade.
Most of the facility’s staff has been with the school for the majority of its history. All lead teachers in each classroom have studied the Montessori Philosophy, maintained current Montessori Credentials and have committed to the success of each student.
During the past several years, the Elementary program has added an exclusive STEM curriculum which teaches children foundational skills in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and is a vital tool that educates students for a higher level of learning and critical thinking.
MCH students are taught through a Godly driven curriculum alongside the STEM program which includes Robotics and Spanish. As the students interact with robots in the classroom and make them perform various motions and tasks, their many different strengths start to shine. Assembling robots in teams and working solutions out in a group format allows for students to dig deep within themselves and discover new strengths and talents.
Technology is changing the way people do things in early part of the world and the sector continues to expand. Educators must embrace the latest skills and knowledge for effective teaching which is why MCH embraces robotics in learning methodologies.
MCH is working on adding additional STEM-based programs for the next school year. The Montessori philosophy aligns with STEM by pursuing STEM goals and by maintaining a low student-to-teacher ratio in the classroom.
