Town of Miami Lakes and its Youth Activities Task Force (YATF) gave special recognition to the more than 50 volunteers who donated their time to make “Nightmare on Montrose” on Halloween night a “spooktacular” success at its new location at Miami Lakes Picnic Park West.

“Special thanks to the YATF chaired by Lynn Matos and all of its volunteers,” said Councilmember Nelson Rodriguez, whose son Brian, served as the co-chair for the event. “The volunteers are really what makes our Town and these events a success. We couldn’t do it without them.”

Throughout the year, the Town continues to offer high school students chances to earn volunteer hours for high school graduation. For more information, send an email to Special Events and Committees coordinator Clarisell De Cardenas at decardenasc@miamilakes-fl.gov.
