New Testament holds student event

Religious Wednesday, May 14, 2014

This year, New Testament Baptist Church's youth group, 4:12, captured the good vibes and camaraderie with “Compel Night” on Wednesday, April 30. The night kicked off in the church's parking lot with over 100 student attendees from Miami-Dade and Broward county schools.

Local renowned Trinity Church pastor, Phil Bixby, shared a message with the students, and CTF Records’ artist Oscar Urbina delivered a performance greeted by applause.

Though the “Compel” event included speakers and performers, New Testament Baptist Church's youth pastor Abraham Metellus said “Compel is more than just an event, it's a call to saying goodbye to the old life and saying hello to the One who is able to give us new life.”

The 4:12 youth ministry seeks to expose children and young adults to the truth, to inspire, and send them out in their local communities to make a difference in the world. The 4:12 ministry group meets Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m. at 6601 N.W. 167 Street.
