Miami Lakes Veterans Committee announced sponsorship of the 2014 “Old Glory” Photo Contest where submitted photos must feature a United States Flag presented in a dignified and respectful manner.
The contest is open to residents, students, and anyone employed within the Town of Miami Lakes boundaries.
Submissions must be received by 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, and photos must be taken within the town boundaries. Only one submission per person. No obtrusive or offensive text or watermarks, no nudity or sexually explicit content, and no collages, drawings, paintings, screen shots, etc., will be accepted.
All entries must submit a release form for the photograph (available at www.miamilakes-fl.gov). Photos must be in JPEG format, 300 DPI (dots per inch), and no smaller than 800 pixels wide x 600 pixels high.
Submit photo via email to Clarisell De Cardenas at decardenasc@miamilakes-fl.gov. Mail-in entries will be not be accepted.
Winners will be announced at the June 10 Town Council meeting and will receive gift certificates from local businesses. All winning photographs will be showcased on the town’s website, and at the Fourth of July Concert and Fireworks Show.
