Monsignor Edward Pace High School principal and alumna, Ana Garcia, and her family were honored with the “One in Faith” award on Sunday, November 24, by Archbishop Thomas Wenski in a mass celebrated at Saint Mary Cathedral.

The “One in Faith” award is presented to a family in the Archdiocese of Miami which represents excellence in evangelization and is firmly committed to spreading the good news of our faith by helping those living without the good news know the fullness of life that Christ said he came to bring.

The Garcia's have dedicated their lives to evangelization through community involvement in various parishes and schools. Ana and Eddy Garcia have been principals in Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Miami for more than 15 years and their three children also live in the Catholic faith.

Jenise Garcia-Subveri is a special education teacher at Immaculate Conception Catholic School, Bryan Garcia is currently studying at the Saint Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in preparation for the priesthood, and Steven Garcia is active in the youth group at Immaculate Conception Parish.

"Live in the faith. You teach by example. It's not so much what you say but what you do," said Ana Garcia when asked for advice for other Catholic parents. "Your faith is part of you, not just something you do on Sundays."
