Senior field trip to Fairchild

Miami Lakes Elderly Affairs Committee is offering free field trips for residents 55 years and above. The next field trip is scheduled for Tuesday, November 1, to the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Gardens.

Fairchild is one of the premier conservation and education-based gardens in the world, and is dedicated to exploring, explaining and conserving the world of tropical plants with one of the world’s greatest living collections of palms and cycads.

Considered one of the best botanic gardens in the world, in addition to exploring the gardens, visitors can enjoy waterfront dining, and shop a unique selection of gifts, educational children’s toys, jewelry, apparel, and home and garden tools with an eco-friendly, tropical flair.

Transportation will be provided from Town Hall department at 10:30 a.m. Space is limited and reservations are required which open on Monday, October 24, and remain open until all seats are filled.
