The students in Sharon Wallen’s fifth grade class at Spanish Lake Elementary (SLE) drew inspiration from the powerful stories of African-American leaders and trailblazers to create the “Renewal Wall.”

The school’s Renewal Wall represents the restoration of vigor and hope for bright futures of this generation and those to come. The students at SLE worked together to showcase the accomplishments of African-Americans in history.
