Miami Lakes Town Council recognized two Miami Lakes K-8 students, Sofia Palomino and Michael Resillez, during the February 11 regular council meeting.
When Councilmember Tim Daubert served as Principal for a Day at the school, he had the opportunity to meet two remarkable students who showcased their musical talents – Resillez, a 4th-grade student played the piano while Vanessa Bone, also a 4th-grader, sang. The young students were recognized for their passion for music. Unfortunately, Bone was unable to attend the meeting as she was participating in a ballet recital.
Palomino, a 3rd-grade student, entered the Miami-Dade Public Library System’s “Make a Bookmark Contest” and was among the winners of the contest representing the Miami Lakes Branch Library.
