Lauren Batista graduated from Mater Academy Charter High School Summa Cum Laude and will be attending Florida International University in the fall. She ranks No. 10 in her class, is the recipient of the 2017 Burger King Scholarship, and an Alexander Hamilton Scholar Cohort 2016.
She is the Executive Vice President of Future Business Leaders of America and the Recording Secretary of SECME. She is graduating with a 5.208 GPA and with Highest Honors with an Associate in Arts Degree from Miami Dade College and Doral College.
She will majoring in a Bachelors of Liberal Studies with a Health and Human Concerns Track and a Biology minor, in the hopes of completing a Masters in Public Health and attending medical school. She is also a First Generation College, an AP Scholar with Distinction, and a Silver Knight nominee in English.
