The Miami Lakes Middle School girls’ soccer team finished 3-1 in regional play before losing to Highland Oaks, 4-2, ending its postseason. Top players for the season were Alysa Vazquez and Kaylee Miranda.
Miami Lakes Middle School girls’ volleyball team finished the regular season with a winning record and advanced to the playoffs where they lost to Highland Oaks in the quarterfinals. Top girls' volleyball players included Melanie Quintero, Anneth Jimenez, Betsabe Castro, and Judy Garcia.
The Miami Lakes Middle School’s Cross Country team was recognized for competing in several invitiational meets and running well past their goals. Top runners in the two Miami Lakes Middle School Cross Country Invitational meets included Mohammad Wadi, Anthony Deoleo, Kristian Bodden, Sofia Gonzalez, and Doralaura Machado.
