Troop 49 Court of Honor recognizes 2 Eagle Scouts

MIAMI LAKES MAYOR Manny Cid congratulates Miami Lakes Boy Scout Troop 49 Eagle Scouts Eric Bello and Leandro Hernandez during a recent Eagle Scout Court of Honor and farewell party at Roberto Alonso Community Center. Troop 49 is the oldest Boy Scout troop in Miami Lakes established in December 1964.

Former mayor's lawsuit dismissed by Circuit Court

  A Miami-Dade Circuit Court dismissed a lawsuit last week filed against Miami Lakes by the town’s former mayor, Michael Pizzi, who’s seeking about $3 million for attorney fees for his 2014 criminal trial, according to a Town press release.  A judge threw out the litigation on April 25, three years after Pizzi sued Miami Lakes.
