  The Miami Lakes Youth Activities Task Force held a bike rodeo Sept. 24 at Veterans Park to promote bicycle safety for kids and adults. Miami-Dade County fire and police departments brought a helicopter and ladder truck for the kids to check out.     On Sept. 13, the town council appointed eight volunteers to six of the Town of Miami Lakes committees. The group was acknowledged during a town council meeting.
