Sabrina Larsh attends Ag Discovery outreach program

Miami Lakes resident Sabrina Larsh, a member of Miami Lakes Girl Scout Troop 500, got an opportunity to attend Ag Discovery at North Carolina State University. In the two week outreach program provided by a grant from the USDA, she learned about careers in plant science with hands-on training from university professors, practicing entomologists, botanists and plant pathologists working for the U.S. government.
  School Board members engaged in a visioning session and discussed priorities with Superintendent Alberto M. Carvalho in preparation for the school year ahead at a meeting at the Doubletree Hotel.   For 25 years, Monsignor Edward Pace High School has been sending students to LIFE camps across the country. Seven Pace LIFE leaders continued this tradition and attended the Marianist LIFE South camp in Mountain Home, Texas for seven days, July 16 to July 22.
