Free dog food available on April 29

Petland will be donating free dog food and treats on April 29 in the parking lot of Miami Lakes United Methodist Church, 14800 NW 67th Ave. The food will be distributed from 1 p.m. until supplies last, and is for residents of Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.

Mike Uspensky was in hospice care at his Miami Lakes home when his wife Carolyn shared some news: The town council approved the entry of the retired, much loved football coach into the Sports Hall of Fame. Uspensky, 72, died that night, April 2.
