Bob Graham Education Center congratulated Eva Oliveras who was a finalist in this year's Do the Write Thing Challenge and her teacher Jacqueline Arrojo-Hernandez. Oliveras, her parents and teacher attended the awards ceremony on May 22. On April 8, two Hialeah Miami Lakes (HML) students, Erik Fernandez and Naomi Valdez, were honored at a ceremony recognizing the achievements of athletes in Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Mater Academy High’s Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble recently competed at the World Strides Heritage Festival in Virginia and walked away with some top honors.
