MDC's baseball team wins state finals championship

Miami Dade College Shaks baseball has been crowned FCSAA Southern Conference Champions. The Sharks needed one win over Palm Beach State College to earn their spot for the tournament The Sharks defeated Palm Beach in a 8-1 win. The Sharks concluded the season (31-20) overall and (15-9) in conference play and ranked seventh in the State.
The Sharks have had a great run at the FCSAA State Tournament winning two games and cruising out of the tournament on Tuesday May 14 against Northwest Florida State College. The Sharks had a giant comeback in MDC baseball history reviving from an 11-0 deficit in the 5th inning to tieing it up and winning it in extra innings over College of Central Florida.
