The Zonta Club of Miami Lakes has set the date for its annual signature fundraising gala. The club asks locals to mark their calendars for Saturday, April 8, and plan to attend an elegant evening of dining and dancing at Shula’s Hotel on Main Street.   The event will also include a silent auction of items donated by local businesses and individuals available for bidding during the pre-dinner cocktails and hors d’oeuvres....

Miami Lakes Cultural Affairs Committee will celebrate Scottish Heritage Month with the Saint Andrew’s Bag Pipe Band of Miami at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 25 at the Main Street fountain just west of Ludlam Road.Established in 1964, St. Andrew’s Bag Pipe Band has performed at various events throughout South Florida to promote the Scottish culture.
