Miami Lakes K-8 Center students visited the nation’s capital in Washington D.C. to learn about the government and history. Students also had the chance to participate in a Moment of Silence in front of the White House in memory of the victims at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

  Alfredo Dominguez is a 5th grade student at Bob Graham Education Center (BGEC) in Joanne Hunt’s homeroom. He lives with his grandparents and two siblings in Miami Lakes. Dominguez recently competed in a Junior Olympics competition held at Coral Springs in March.
